To implement the CPC Central Committee's "Healthy China" strategy, establish a global platform for the display and exchange of health-related advancements, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the health industry, the World Health Expo (WHE) is held annually in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The expo aims to showcase the latest products, technologies, and achievements in the global health field, serving as a vital platform for fostering international cooperation and collaborative innovation in the health industry.
With strong support from the National Health Commission, the People's Government of Hubei Province, and the People's Government of Wuhan Municipality, seven sessions of the expo have been successfully held from 2019 to 2025. These events have collectively featured over 7,700 exhibitors, hosted more than 300 forums and conferences, and attracted millions of participants from 36 countries, including foreign dignitaries, experts, scholars, and representatives from Fortune 500 and China 500 companies. The expo has facilitated cumulative investments exceeding 620 billion RMB, generated nearly 2 billion online viewer engagements, and been covered by over 300 mainstream media outlets globally. With online and offline transactions surpassing 20 billion RMB, the expo has created an "everlasting" platform for global health exchange. Its influence continues to grow both domestically and internationally, earning widespread acclaim.
The 2026 (8th) World Health Expo is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 10 at the China Optics Valley Convention and Exhibition Center in Wuhan, organized by the Hubei Chushang Federation and hosted by World Health (Hubei) Convention and Exhibition Co., Ltd. This edition will feature an exhibition area of approximately 30,000 square meters, with specialized zones focused on authentic medicinal materials, regional specialties, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, smart healthcare, silver economy, and health consumer products. Concurrently, over 20 high-level, high-quality conferences and supporting events will be held, inviting leaders from relevant national ministries, provincial and municipal officials, academicians, experts, representatives from Fortune 500 companies in the health sector, heads of national business associations, renowned hospital directors, and other key figures in the health industry, alongside professional media and visitors.
The World Health Expo serves as a premier platform for global health leaders to gather, foster international cooperation, facilitate academic exchange, promote product transactions, and attract investments.
